BitLocker error -> A required TPM measurement is missing
I have seen this error pop up lately for people trying to enable bitlocker on a laptop/pc image. Most commonly the image is taken after using sysprep and the system reserved partition is not imaged at the time.
I have seen this most commonly occur on Windows 8, 8.1
The System reserved partition is required by BitLocker to initiate TPM , you can recreate the partition or repair the partition by doing the following
The FIX
1. Insert your Windows 8.1 CD or USB stick
2. Restart Machine and Boot into USB
3. Navigate repair options to find command line/command prompt
4. Enter the following commands
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
(*note: normally only the /fixmbr command is required to fix this issue)
restart your machine and retry enabling bitlocker and you should be in luck .
that's all from me, hope that helps . all the best
